While the base comes in airy, white mesh, the signature tiger strip overlays are made from synthetic leather in the White Neutral Pink (Women’s) ASICS Gel-1130. The change in materials from genuine leather to synthetic makes this version of the Gel-1130 stand out from models dating back to the early 2000s. It gives the sneaker a modern upgrade and allows the metallic silver accents to catch the light. Although the sneaker draws inspiration from previous interpretations of the Gel-1000 series, its stability-centric construction more closely follows the Gel-Kayano 14.
